How to Freeze Foods

Have you ever used your freezer to freeze foods other than the type that comes in little boxes and requires a microwave to heat up?

The Former Fat Guy Blog goes over a very informative and detailed list of how to freeze foods. He covers freezing specific vegetables, fruits, nuts, meats, seafood, and even pastries (who knew?). He even provides ideal freshness times.

This brings up another grub destination that I was planning on visiting, Go Go Cafe. But upon reading a certain review on Yelp that mentioned:

Tips on How to Store Your Food

Thanks go to Gomestic and their article on How to Store Your Food So It Lasts Longer.

Any grubgirl or grubboy knows that poor meal planning or poor leftover packaging can lead to a lot of waste in your kitchen…and I’m about you getting the most value from your food.

The key theme is to get airtight packaging for your leftovers, as oxygen can damage food, give it freezer burn, and make things ripen faster.
