Wrap Delight: B is for Banh-Mi, and Banh-Mi is for Me
Wrap Delight
426 Larkin St
San Francisco

For those of you city workers that miss the legit Vietnamese sandwiches that frequent San Jose sandwich shops, take a break from your schedule and head here for dirt cheap grub.
Banh-Mi is the term for Vietnamese sandwiches: a generous serving of pork prepared a variety of ways (BBQ, pate, combo, etc.), some carrots, cilantro, and huge slices of fresh jalapeno peppers served in warmed French baguette.

Arrivederci Trader Joe’s Pomi
Pomi Marinara Sauce Discontinued at Trader Joe’s?
After months of speculation and eagerly asking store managers at the SoMa, Arguello, and North Beach Trader Joe’s, Grubgirl has pieced together enough rumors to quietly accept that Pomi ain’t coming back at TJ’s.
Background:
Pomi was the lone marinara sauce in a box at the store – supposedly the freshest of jarred or canned sauces, and it avoided any tinniness that can come with canned sauces. Although it’s still sold at upmarket establishments like HomeChef and Mollie Stone’s, somehow TJ’s was able to get the stuff at a bargain.

Burrito Grubber
Think you know a thing or two about San Francisco’s best taquerias? Can you meticulously describe the many subtle differences between a So-Cal burrito, a Nor-Cal burrito, and a Gring-uritto from your local El Torito or Chevy’s?
See if your choices have the right Moustache Rating. A nice find…check it out.
(Note that BurritoEater rates burritos on a 12-item scale…Grubgirl is not that picky as long as the price is right. Her stomach would rather prefer she instituted a similar scale however.)
