Met a buddy who knew the right Chinese food place to check out…Grubgirl had a craving for wonton soup and this place gets an A+. A big bowl of wontons, with plenty of meat in them, savory broth, and, the pleasant surprise was that there was some tofu, fish cake, and meat also thrown in!
I ordered the #1: House Special Won Ton Soup - I guess “house special” means the extra goodies in the broth. The condiments included Vietnamese ones (Rooster hot sauce and plum sauce), as well as fresh chili oil. I was pleasantly full after one bowl — though afterwards I am feeling a slight MSG-caused thirst.
How much was this?? $4.20. Yep.
Also, there was a line out the door for barbecue takeout. Apparently the BBQ pork and chicken are delicious. They are also known for their barbecued food over (white) rice…also ranging from $4.20 - $5.20.
They also have fried rice, fried noodle, and rice noodle plates from $4.65-5.20.
Vegetarians have less than 10 options, but they’re all listed as $5.20 on the menu.
