Snarky SF food blog, Eater SF is quick to point out an innocent news leak one of the Chronicle food reporters made about a new Afghan restaurant on Polk. You get to BYOB to this place, like some other grub-friendly food establishments.
But guess what? Don’t write about it because the pigs could come a knockin’! Turns out the state department of Alcoholic Beverage Control heard about it and says it’ll be stepping up plainclothes patrols into this establishment, to bust the unfortunate shopkeepers (and maybe the BYOBers themselves).
So, Grubgirl fans, what code phrases should I use to tell you the same thing, without busting the very establishment I hope to promote? Let me know. In the meantime I’ll still with some *wink wink* *nudge nudge* action.
