What are the best burgers for grilling?

Do the contents of a good burger (for the grill, not the broiler) always have to resemble what’s in a meatloaf recipe?
Or…are the ingredients the same but the method of cooking makes them taste different?

Experts, please expound….

Easy Steamed Sea Bass Recipe

Another ace recipe from our own “KC Masterpiece” in NJ…you’re going to have to splurge to buy the fresh fish and to use fresh ginger, but it’s well worth it.

Easy Steamed Sea Bass
(20 min)

Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb. sea bass (or striped bass); If using whole fish, make sure the fish is cleaned, scaled and gills removed – they can do that for you at the fish store1/4 c.+ 2 T. white wine
3 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped (apprx 2 T)
4 T chopped scallions, including greens
2 T finely minced fresh ginger
2 t. sugar
1/4 c. olive oil
3 t. soy sauce

Easy Lemon Chicken Recipe

Got this from a friend who got it from her mom. I watched her make this in less than 30 minutes — thanks K. Chin, NJ!

KC’s Easy Lemon Chicken Masterpiece

Ingredients:
4 skinned and boned chicken breasts
2 egg yolks (separated from whites*)
dash salt and pepper
cornstarch
2 lemons
2 T. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1 1/2 t. constarch
2-3 drops yellow food coloring (optional – but believe me will look a lot better)

Naan ‘n Curry – The Price Also Rises

I went to the Naan ‘n Curry (on their bowls, it’s called “Naan ‘n Cyurry”) for dinner with some pals….

…and was surprised that they, too, had increased their prices in the last year. C’mon, can’t anyone get a meal for $4.99 in SF anymore? Ok, ok, no need to discuss the rising prices of chicken, produce, and wage laborers. One of my companions was quick to note a shiny new Zagat’s award behind the cash register — calling N ‘n C one of best cheap eats in San Francisco. This is Zagat’s, mind you. Our theory has nothing to do with city politics or agribusiness. We just know that a Zagat’s budget is a bit bigger than a GrubGirl budget…so to someone who is lured there by Zagat’s, the prices are still cheap. For not-so-closet grub diners, we were a bit perturbed.
